Promote Healthy Lifestyles
Today’s parents are concerned about substance abuse issues and often don’t know who to talk to or where to get information about substance abuse. MIPH has a strong history of equipping families with information about how to improve communication, strengthen relationships, and promote healthy behaviors and lifestyles among children and teens. We also offer detailed information regarding drugs and alcohol, and what to do if you suspect a loved one has a substance abuse problem or a mental health concern. These resources include print materials, trainings or educational opportunities, and links to helpful websites and resources.
We also have the expertise to tailor tools for any family member or different community organizations. Parents and other caregivers can find a wealth of information for their children and teens. We have resources for caregivers who are looking after aging parents or older adults. Expecting mothers can find information and guidelines about healthy decision-making during and after pregnancy. Today’s parents need support from other parents, their school, and their community. They need to hear what they’re doing is OK.
