Minnesota Institute of Public Health

MIPH has had reciprocal relationships with academics and with institutions of higher education, sharing expertise, resources and data.  We also have a history of working with the media.  While MIPH has utilized media outlets to advertise training events and disseminate public service announcements, journalists have turned to us when researching news items.  A recent example includes media coverage of binge drinking among college age students.  Community planners and grant writers have also turned to us for data and technical assistance when conducting needs assessments.

Students may find MIPH a valuable resource when researching public health topics.  Not only do we house a vast library of articles, books and reports, but we can also connect you with prevention professionals throughout Minnesota and the U.S.  Advocacy groups looking for the latest data and research may also wish to turn to us for information.
